The current Sunset Hill House was originally constructed in 1880 as the annex to the larger Sunset Hill House – one of New Hampshire’s Grand Hotels.

Boasting accommodations for 350 guests and many amenities including New Hampshire’s oldest golf course, the Grand Hotel was the host to many special memories over the years. From family summers of escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, to grand events and galas, to the annual Sunrise Easter Service celebration, the original Sunset Hill House was the destination to escape for many generations.

Though the world continues to change, the need to escape and create memories remains. The revival of The Sunset Hill House allows our guests the same opportunity to escape and create memories of their own for years to come.

In addition to the 28 redesigned well-appointed guestrooms, the Sunset Hill House offers its guests the opportunity to play New Hampshire’s oldest 9-hole golf course, explore our beautifully landscaped gardens and take a dip in our pool, savor the culinary creations of Chef Michael Peacock and enjoy a craft cocktail or pint while taking in the sunset in our new Food & Beverage concept. Need space for a private event? Our newly renovated indoor-outdoor event space is complete with the perfect backdrop for any occasion.

Meet Karen, Saxton & Marston

Travel and memories should be shared with those that you love and we take the same approach. After growing up in a hospitality family where his parents met in the industry, Saxton brings his experience of working around the world with the top hotel operators and brands to Sugar Hill for a true family experience of his own. Alongside his wife Karen, who oversees all design and marketing efforts, and their son Marston (11 months), the Sharad family has curated The Sunset Hill House experience in a personal way that only the love of a family could create.
